Hi, we're the Evermans!
We serve people experiencing homelessness in the Austin area. We believe that through relationship and discipleship we can point them to God by instilling hope and encouraging them towards wholeness and their God created purpose.
We began serving out of a place of need in our own personal life after Jason had a life altering injury. Serving others took the focus off our situation and God moved our hearts to dig in deeper to serve with more intention once we saw the need and the area we were led to.
During our Weekly Outreaches, we provide meals, clothes, shoes, socks, toiletries, and seasonal necessities to people experiencing homelessness. We also offer counseling, discipleship and mentoring to those we serve
We are relationship based. That means we will get to know the person just as they are and build trust with them through consistency. Once that is established we can begin to work more deeply on their hearts and get to the roots of their situations.
Through the relationships we've built by serving this community in Austin over the last 11 years, we've come to learn how common the misconceptions are about how and why people become homeless.
We have worked with and partnered with many different organizations all over the Austin area since 2011. Currently, we are partnered monthly with our weekly outreaches with Life Austin, a girl scout troop from Dripping Springs and other churches and families. We are also a weekly outreach of Bethel Austin.
As an organization we have...
- Served every week in Austin, TX for 11 years.
- Been chosen as the Strategic partner of the year for Life Austin Downtown Campus for 2022.
- Been featured on KXAN in 2014
As a 501c3 organization, we rely on donor support for our operations. One of our greatest needs currently is provision for our own housing, so we can continue to serve those in need.
